Bay Lake Elementary School
Bay Lake Elementary School constituted the new construction of a prototype elementary school. The project site was a low elevation and involved the importation of a significant amount of fill and included a large earthwork scope. One of the most significant challenges of the project involved the aggressive schedule requirements. The Substantial Completion was established for July 2016, which equates to a 10-month schedule for a 90,000 SF school. Pirtle’s management team established a fastrack schedule approach, which involved active and aggressive management of the project and overall commitment to achieving a successful finish.
