This LEED Gold project was the city’s first project to pursue LEED Gold certification. This project expanded and renovated the City of Coral Springs Central Public Safety Complex, which includes the City’s central police and fire administration, dispatching services, Fire Station #80, and the 24-hour Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for Northwest Broward. Key components included hurricane-hardening the existing Public Safety Building with reinforced masonry, impact-resistant glazing, and roof reinforcements, as well as adding a two-story, 15,822-square-foot wing for Fire Administration and the EOC. A new 13,464-square-foot Fire Station with four apparatus bays, was also constructed, allowing for the renovation of the existing station.
